DeSales used a big second half to beat the Misericordia University men's basketball team, 77-58, Saturday in Center Valley.

Joseph Baldachino had 19 points to lead three Cougars in double figures.  Kevin Lazdowsky had 13 points and Nick Hornung added 11 points in just 17 minutes.

The Cougars led throughout much of the first half, including a 12-point advantage less than eight minutes into the game.

Hornung converted a three-point play and Nate Kreitzer and Matt Marchetti both hit three-pointers to fuel a 9-0 run and give the Cougars a 20-8 lead with 12:31 left in the first half.

DeSales gradually chipped away and ended the half on a 10-0 run to take a 35-29 lead.

The Bulldogs opened a 10-point lead with 14:11 to play and maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
