The Misericordia University men's basketball team fell behind early and never recovered in an 89-53 loss to Stevens, Saturday.

Kevin Lazdowsky led the Cougars with 14 points.

Nick Hornung scored twice and Joseph Baldachino hit a baseline jumper from the left baseline to give MU a 9-8 lead less than five minutes into the game.

Stevens answered with eight straight points and eventually stretched to 46-25 at halftime.

Misericordia will visit Lycoming, Tuesday.
