The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team opened the season with a come-from-behind 11-7 win at Eastern, Saturday.
The Cougars rallied from a 5-0 deficit and ended the game on a 9-1 run.
David Giordano had two goals and two assists and
Robert Wagner and
Ryan Vandenberg had two goals and an assist.
Ryan Vandenberg added two goals.
Chris Straub had 16 saves and
Michael Shuman picked up seven ground balls.
The Cougars fell behind 5-0 before Giordano scored late in the first quarter.
Venis scored a man-up goal early in the second quarter, but Eastern answered later in the period to lead 6-2.
MU scored four goals in the last 5:00 of the second quarter to pull even, 6-6.
The Cougars scored three straight goals to open the third quarter and only allowed one goal in the second half.
Misericordia will host Susquehanna, Wednesday.
