Morgan Haefele and Alyssa Bondi scored 18 points each to lead the Misericordia University women's basketball team to a 60-47 win at Arcadia, Saturday.

Skylar Bianchi added eight points and nine rebounds and Melina Santacroce had nine rebounds.

The Cougars jumped out to a quick 14-2 lead.  Bondi opened the game with a three-pointer and added another in between a pair of Gianna Delfino buckets as part of an 11-0 run.

Skylar Bianchi and Haefele added layups later in the period as the Cougars built and 18-12 lead after one quarter.

Haefele connected on three three-pointers early in the second quarter as the Cougars stretched their lead to 31-18 with 5:15 to go.

Melina Santacroce converted a three-point play to make it 34-20 and Nora Tracey added a layup in the final minute as the Cougars led 38-24 at halftime.

Haefele hit a jumper early in the third quarter and Bondi made a three-pointer for a 43-28 lead, but the Cougars went scoreless over the final 8:21 and led 43-34 after three periods.

Bianchi scored six points late in the fourth quarter and Bondi added a three-pointer to give the Cougars a 53-41 with 2:43 to play.

MU made six free throws in the final minute to clinch the win.
