The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team rallied for a 13-7 over Wentworth, Friday afternoon in Clearwater, FL.
Robert Wagner led the Cougars with five goals and two assists and
Ryan Vandenberg added two goals and two assists.
Carson Venis scored twice and
Michael Kilgallon III,
Kyle Vandenberg,
Jared Pelliccione and Conner Gundersen all added goals.
Wagner and Gundersen had five ground balls each and
Jake Miller added four ground balls.
Chris Straub made 13 saves as the Cougars improved to 4-0.
Kilgallon scored in the opening minute, but Wentworth answered with three straight goals.
Venis scored late in the first quarter and Wagner tied it in the opening minute of the second quarter.
Wentworth went back in front a minute later, but Wagner answered with two straight goals to put the Cougars in front, 6-4.
MU scored twice late in the third quarter and put the game away with five straight goals in the third period.
