Carson Venis had two goals and an assist as the Cougars improved to 5-1.
Jake Miller had three ground balls and two caused turnovers and
Ciaran Keenan added four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Garrett Heidecker won 14 of 25 faceoffs and had 10 ground balls and Venis added four ground balls.
Chris Straub had eight saves in goal.
Kyle Vandenburg scored on a tough angle shot on the right baseline to cap a 3-0 spurt and give MU a 4-1 lead early in the second quarter.
The teams exchanged goals through the remainder of the first half and the Cougars led 6-3 at halftime.
MU scored four straight goals to take a 13-5 lead early in the fourth quarter.
The Cougars will host Neumann, Wednesday.
