The Misericordia University baseball team used two big innings to pick up its fifth straight win, 10-2, Tuesday at Swarthmore.

The Cougars took a 6-0 lead in the third inning and stretched it to 10-1 in the seventh.

Joe Valenti allowed just four hits over six innings and
Tommy Tracey tossed two scoreless innings of relief before
Kyle Kane closed out the game.

Derrick Vosburg and
Brendan Gray had two hits and
Santino Manganella and
Austin Miles had two RBI each.

Gabe Bunn doubled with one out in the third and
Garrett McIlhenney walked before Manganella's triple to right center gave MU a 2-0 lead.

Brady Madden doubled to make it 3-0 and Miles added a sac fly to put MU up 4-0. Gray singled in a run and
Brock Bollinger and Bunn forced in runs on a hit by pitch and a walk, respectively, to close out the inning.

Vosburg, Miles and Bollinger all had RBI-doubles in the seventh and
Owen VanNewkirk scored a passed ball.

MU will open a MAC Freedom series with DeSales, Friday at Tambur Field.
