Kylee Cush had a goal and five assists as the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team beat Lycoming in their MAC Freedom opener, 18-5, Wednesday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.

Savannah Winpigler had two goals and two assists.

Makenzie Tumini had nine draw controls, four ground balls and three caused turnovers and Shook added seven draw controls.

Maggie McGovern made 14 saves in goal.

Celesky scored twice and Grieco and Shook added goals as the Cougars took a 4-1 lead after one period.

Lycoming scored two quick goals in the second period, but the Cougars answered with six straight goals to regain control.
