The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team dropped a 9-4 decision at Stockton, Tuesday afternoon.
Justine Johnson had two goals for the Cougars and
Alyssa Delgadillo and
Michelle Torzilli each scored a goal.
Makenzie Tumini had two ground balls, two caused turnovers and two draw controls and
Rachel Shook added a team-high six draw controls.
Maggie McGovern had 11 saves and six ground balls.
Stockton took an early 3-0 lead, but Johnson scored twice over the final five minutes of the first quarter to get the Cougars within 3-2.
The Ospreys scored four unanswered goals over the middle two periods to take a 7-2Â lead.
Delgadillo scored early in the fourth quarter, but Stockton followed with a pair of goals to go up 9-3 with 9:25 to play.
Torzilli scored with 4:08 remaining.
MU will host Marywood, Tuesday.
