The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 with an 17-12 win over Wittenberg, Tuesday night in Clearwater, Florida.
Ryan Vandenberg scored five goals and Robert Wagner had three goals and six assists to lead the Cougars.
Kyle Vandenberg had two goals and two assists and Carson Venis scored three goals.
Jared Pelliccione had two goals and an assist and Michael Kilgallon III had a goal and two assists.
Garrett Heidecker was 21-31 on face-offs and had nine ground balls while Pelliccione added five ground balls.
Trey Stasse had four caused turnovers and Chris Straub made 10 saves in goal.
Venis scored two goals each as the Cougars took an early 4-0 lead.
Wittenberg answered with four straight goals, but Ryan Vandneberg took a feed from his brother, Kyle, to put MU back in front early in the second period.
Following a Wittenberg goal, the Cougars scored four straight to stretch their lead to 10-5 late in the first half.
MU used a 5-0 spurt to eventually build a 16-7 lead midway through the third quarter.
Wittenberg ended the game with five consecutive goals to close the scoring.
The Cougars will play Wentworth Institute of Technology, Friday at 2:00 in Clearwater.
