Rob Wagner set two school records to lead the Misericordia University men's lacrosse team to a 20-4 win over King's, Wednesday.
Wagner had a goal and six assists to break his own single-season record (39) and surpass Sean Collins' (103) career mark. He has 43 assists for the season and 108 for his career.
Carson Venis had five goals and two assists as 11 Cougars found the back of the net.
Kyle Vandenberg had four goals and an assist and
Connor Gundersen had two goals and an assist.
Jared Pelliccione scored twice and Michael Kilgallon, Ryan Vandenburg,
Zach Kuhar,
Trey Stasse,
Michael Shuman and
Don Conway all scored goals.
Nick Mehnert had a team-high five ground balls and Wagner had four.Â
Garrett Heidecker was 10-18 on face-offs and add four ground balls.
Spencer Sundeberg had a team-high three caused turnovers and added two ground balls.
Matt Coates earned the win in goal as five different Cougars saw time in net.
Trailing 2-1 early in the first quarter, Venis pulled the Cougars even to start a string of 18 unanswered goals.
Venis had four goals and two assists in the opening period as the Cougars built an 8-2 lead.
Kyle Vandenberg scored three times in the second quarter to give MU a 15-2 halftime lead.
