The Misericordia University baseball team took a doubleheader at FDU-Florham to complete the series sweep of the Devils, Saturday.

The Cougars took the opener, 10-4, and the nightcap, 7-3, to improve to 18-10 overall and 8-4 in the MAC Freedom.

Brady Madden had two hits and three RBI in the opener and
Derrick Vosburg had a two-run homer.
Â
Brendan Gray had three hits and
Joe Comins had two hits.
Â
Tyler Leonard struck out six and scattered seven hits over six innings to earn the win.

Madden had two hits and four RBI in the nightcap and
Owen VanNewkirk had two hits.

Joe Valenti worked 4.1 innings to earn the win and
Connor Maryniak worked 2.2 scoreless innings.

The Cougars took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first in the opener and added three runs in the fifth on singles by Madden and
Brock Bollinger.

MU put the game away in the sixth on RBI-singles by Comins and Madden and Vosburg's homer.

Misericordia took a 4-0 lead in the third inning in the nightcap. Madden and
Austin Miles had back-to-back RBI-singles and
Santino Manganella drew a bases-loaded walk and
Brendan Gray added a sacrifice fly.

MU added three insurance runs in the sixth on Madden's bases-loaded triple.

The Cougars will visit Scranton, Monday.
