The Misericordia University women's volleyball suffered its first MAC Freedom loss, 3-0, at Arcadia, Tuesday night.
Meghan Peters led the Cougars with eight kills while
Fiona Pyfer and
Sophie Winter had seven and five, respectively.
Jenna Schuda had 26 assists and
Jessica Cleveland had 15 digs.
Down 20-81 in the opening set, Schuda and Pyfer sandwiched kills around a bad set by Arcadia to take a 21-20 lead.
Kills from Pyfer kept the Cougars alive twice, but Arcadia scored two straight points to win the set, 27-25.
The Cougars used a 6-2 run to get within 19-16 in the second set, but the Knights closed on a 4-2 run to win 25-20.
Winter's kill tied the finale, 13-13.
Down 15-13, the Cougars used a kills by Pyfer and an Arcadia error to tie the set, 15-15.
The Knights closed the match on a 10-1 run to win, 25-16.
