The Misericordia University women's volleyball team won its fifth straight match with a 3-1 non-league victory at Neumann, Tuesday.
The Cougars won 25-18, 25-16, 23-25, 25-17 to improve to 9-3.
Faith Merritt had 13 kills and four aces and
Fiona Pyfer added eight kills, 19 digs and two blocks.
Jenna Schuda had 34 assists, 17 digs and three aces and
Shelby Hastings had four blocks.
Sarah Kelly added nine kills.
The Cougars scored eight straight points to take an 8-1 lead the opener and Neumann never got closer than four points.
Pyfer had a kill and
Jessica Cleveland had two aces as part of a 6-0 run late in the second set.
Down 24-19, the Cougars scored four straight points in the third set, before falling 25-23.
The Cougars took advantage of three Neumann errors to close out third set.
Misericordia will host Wilkes in a MAC Freedom contest, Wednesday.
