The Misericordia University women's volleyball team opened MAC Freedom play with a 3-0 sweep at Lycoming, Wednesday night.
Sophie Winter led the Cougars with 10 kills while Meghan Peters had eight and Sadie Stockslager had seven kills.
Jess Schuda had 31 assists and two aces and Peters added two aces.
Jessica Cleveland had 11 digs and Fiona Pyfer added 10 digs.
Down 9-7 in the opening set, the Cougars scored six straight points to take a 13-9 lead.
Peters had two kills as part of another 6-0 run that gave MU a 19-11 lead.
MU fell behind early again in the second, but eventually took a 12-11 lead on an ace by Schuda.
Lycoming used an 8-0 to take a 23-21 lead, but The Cougars answered with four straight points to  close the match with a 25-23 win.
Peters and Winters had two kills each as part of a 6-0 as the Cougars took a 20-16 lead in the finale.
