Down 35-14 at halftime, the Cougars chipped away and pulled within 61-58 with 1:17 to play.

MU had a chance to tie the game, but the Devils forced a turnover and closed on a 6-2 run over the final 30 seconds.

Nate Kreitzer and R.J. Weise had 10 points each to lead the Cougars.

Derek Smith and Kreitzer hit back-to-back-to-back three-pointers to get the Cougars within 57-51 with 4:10 to play.

Baldachino put back his own miss and Weise hit another three-pointer to make it 59-56 with 3:20 remaining.
