Kevin Lazdowsky scored a season-high 29 points to lead the Misericordia University men's basketball team to an 82-65 win over Stevens, Saturday afternoon on Dr. Michael Mould Court.

Joseph Baldachino scored 22 points and
Nate Kreitzer had 11 and
Nick Prociak added 10.

Lazdowsky added team-highs with eight rebounds and four assists.

Baldachino scored the first five points of the game and the Cougars never trailed

Baldachino added a deep three-pointer from the left wing and scored off a back-door cut with an assist from Lazdowsky to give MU a 15-7 lead.

Lazdowsky scored MU's next 13 points to fuel a 13-6 run as the Cougars took a 36-18 lead with 3:59 left in the first half.

Baldachino head-faked on a three-pointer and scored on a driving lay-up and Lazdowsky drove the right side to stretch the lead to 40-21.

The Ducks got within 11 in the final minute, but R.J. Weise closed the half with deep three-pointer to beat the buzzer and give MU a 43-29 halftime lead.

After Stevens cut the MU lead to 60-52 midway through the second half, the Cougars made six straight free throws and Kreitzer buried a three-pointer from the right wing and extend the lead to 69-57 with 7:02 to play.
