Kevin Lazdowsky scored a team-high 20 points, including a three-point play with less than a minute to play, to lead the Misericordia University men's basketball team to a 64-61 win at Arcadia.

Lazdowsky added 13 rebounds and Nate Kreitzer and Derek Smith scored 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Down 55-47 with 6:56 to play, Lazdowsky and Smith hit back-to-back three-pointers to get MU within a point with 5:04 to go.

Lazdowsky converted a three-point play to MU in front, 60-59, with :54 remaining.

Smith and Lazdowsky sank two free throws each in the final 10 seconds.

Nick Hornung scored five straight points to give MU a 15-6 lead less than five minutes into the game and the Cougars led throughout most of the first half.

The teams traded the lead late in the first half, but Lazdowsky's layup with 1:54 left helped give MU a 34-33 halftime lead.
