The Misericordia University men's soccer team moved into sole possession of third place in the MAC Freedom with a 2-1 win over DeSales, Tuesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
Max Gariano and Rocky Russo scored goals and Drew Weaver had two assists as the Cougars extended their unbeaten streak to four straight games.
 
After allowing a goal in the second minute, the Cougars pulled even six minutes later.  Weaver's header on a corner kick caromed off the crossbar where Gariano headed home the rebound.
 
Jaden Haig threaded a diagonal pass through two defenders to Weaver who played a pass to Russo who dribbled into the box and placed a left-footed strike into the right corner of the goal from 12 yards out to put MU up 2-1 with his first career goal at 72:02.
 
Russo nearly added an insurance goal in the 81^st minute, but his shot from the left flank bent just wide of the right post.
 
Mason Hayward made four saves in goal for the Cougars.
