Kevin Lazdowsky scored 17 points as the Misericordia University men's basketball team improved to 3-0 and gave head coach Will Chandler his 100^th career victory with an 84-69 win over Alfred, Wednesday night on Doc Mould Court.

Joseph Baldachino added 15 points and Dewin Concepcion had 12.  Will Anozie scored 11 and Nate Kreitzer had 10 points and seven assists.

The Cougars used a 15-0 run midway through the second half to take a 68-52 lead.

Up 54-52, Derek Smith made two free throws an then converted a three-point play to give MU a 60-52 lead with 11:10 to play.

R.J. Weise hit a floater in the lane and Concepcion followed with a pull-up jumper for a 64-52 lead.

Anozie scored on a putback and a short jumper to cap the run and give MU a 68-52 lead with 7:26 to go.

Alfred made two early three-pointers to grab a quick 8-2 lead and stretched their lead to 15-8 just over minutes into the game.

Lazdowsky made two free throws and Concepcion drilled a three-pointer from the right wing to pull MU within 15-13. 

After an Alfred free throw, Lazdowsky hit a three-pointer from the left corner to tie the game, 16-16, with 11:55 left in the first half.

The Saxons answered with a bucket, but Lazdowsky hit another three from the right win to give Misericordia its first lead, 19-18, and they never trailed again.
