The Misericordia University women's basketball team lost to Amherst, 75-44, in the championship game of the Morrisville State Tip-Off Tournament, Saturday.

Alyssa Bondi led the Cougars with 13 points while Gianna Delfino added 11 points and a team-high six rebounds.

Delfino made a three-pointer and a pair of free throws to give the Cougars a 9-7 lead midway through the first quarter.  The Mammoths closed the period on a 13-6 run to take a 24-13 lead after the first quarter.
