The Misericordia University women's basketball team fell to Messiah, 57-42, Thursday night in the Anderson Center.
Jocelyn Grosch led the Cougars with 19 points while
Alyssa Bondi had 11 points and
Skylar Bianchi had a game-high 11 rebounds.
Grosch scored five points in the first quarter, including a late three-pointer, to get MU within 13-9 after the opening period.
Grosch opened the second quarter with a layup, but the Falcons eventually built a 29-19 halftime lead.
The Cougars were held to just seven points in the third quarter as Messiah took a 44-26 lead.
MU chipped away in the fourth quarter and Bondi converted a three-point play to cut the deficit to 53-41 with 1:53 to go.
