The Misericordia University men's basketball team had its 14-game win streak against King's snapped with a 74-64 loss at Scandlon Gym, Wednesday.
The Cougars lost to the Monarchs for the first time since 2015.
Nate Kreitzer led the Cougars with 15 points and
Kevin Lazdowsky had 14 while
Nick Hornung added 11 points and nine rebounds.
Down 47-34 at halftime, the Cougars charged back in early in the second half. MU held King's to just five points over the first nine minutes of the second half to get within two points.
Hornung hit a three-pointer and Kreitzer followed with two free throws and Lazdowsky nailed a jumper to get within 48-41 less than four minutes into the second half
Kreitzer nailed a three-pointer and
Nick Prociak made two free throws to cut the margin to 48-46 with 13:48 to play.
Down 55-52 with 8:05 to go, King's responded with a 15-3 run to build a 70-55 lead with 2:10 to play.
