The Misericordia University men's basketball team dropped a hard-fought 63-60 decision at Delaware Valley, Saturday.
Kevin Lazdowsky led the Cougars with 21 points and seven rebounds and
Nate Kreitzer added 11 points, six rebounds and six assists.
The Cougars fell behind 33-25 at halftime, but opened the second half on an 11-3 run to pull even.
R.J. Wiese made a layup and Lazdowsky converted a three-point play to get the Cougars with 36-34 with 13:57 to go.
Nick Prociak followed with a three-point play to put MU in front for the first time, 37-36. Del Val responded with a 12-1 run to take a 49-38 lead with 7:23 to play.
The Cougars clawed back and tied the game, 55-55, on a Kreitzer layup with 2:41 remaining.
After a 7-2 Del Val spurt, Kreitzer hit a three-pointer to make it 62-60 with just under a minute left.
The Aggies added a late free throw and MU missed two shots in the closing seconds.
Misericordia currently has a one-game lead for the final MAC Freedom post-season berth.
