A big third quarter by Muhlenberg doomed the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team in a 15-9 loss, Wednesday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
The Cougars led 7-5 early in the third period, but Muhlenberg scored eight straight goals to take a 13-5 lead early in the fourth quarter.
 
Michelle Torzilli had three goals and an assist for the Cougars and Rachel Shook had three goals and six draw controls, including the 100^th of her career.
 
Genevieve Montanye had a goal and two assists and Molly Celesky scored twice.
 
Torzilli found Montanye just one minute into the game and Montanye found Celesky just over four minutes later for a 2-0 lead.
 
After Muhlenberg tied it, Torzilli put MU back in front from close range with 2:39 left in the first period.
 
Muhlenberg scored twice to go ahead, but Shook bounced a shot in front to pull even, 4-4.
 
Torzilli and Celesky scored late in the second quarter and Shook gave the Cougars a 7-5 lead early in the third.
