Michelle Torzilli tied the school record with nine goals to lead the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team to a 16-9 win at Montclair, Saturday.

Rachel Shook added four goals and two assists for the Cougars, who used a 9-2 run in the second and third quarters to break open a close game.

Makenzie Tumini led the Cougars with seven draw controls and
Molly Celesky had six.

Tied 5-5 early in the second quarter, Torzilli scored twice in a seven-minute span as the Cougars scored four straight goals.Â
Genevieve Montanye and Shook also scored as the Cougars took a 9-5 halftime lead.

Torzilli scored four more times in the third quarter as the Cougars stretched their lead to 14-6.
