The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team fell to Stockton, 18-8, Saturday at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
Michelle Torzilli scored five goals, caused two turnovers and picked up two groundballs while Genevieve Montanye recorded four assists while Rachel Shook won four draw controls.
 
Shook, Montanye and Melanie Carbo added goals and Kylee Cush finished with three groundballs and an assist.
 
The Ospreys got off to a hot start, scoring seven unanswered goals within the opening 10 minutes. Torzilli ended the scoring drought with a goal off a Montanye dime near the end of the first.
 
Torzilli added two goals within 30 seconds of each other while down a man before the end of the first half.
 
The Cougars' third period of play was their most competitive, as Montanye and Shook found the back net early in the with Carbo scoring later in the period. Lena Conway made three saves in the third including denying a shot off a free position.
 
Conway recorded four saves in the fourth while Torzilli added a pair of goals in the final period of play.
 
MU will host Marywood, Thursday at 6:00 on Mangelsdorf Field.
