Derrick Vosburg drove in four runs, including the game-winner, to lead the Misericordia University baseball team to an 8-7 come-from-behind 12-inning win at Kean, Friday.
Jason Sanfilippo had four hits and Vosburg and
Garrett McIlhenney had three hits each.
Mike Murphy and
Nick Giardino had two hits apiece.
Jaiden Cioffi worked three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.Â
Max Oliver worked six scoreless innings of relief as the Cougars rallied from an early 7-1 deficit.
Murphy had an RBI-double and McIlhenney drove in a run as the Cougars got two runs back in the fourth.
Vosburg led off the fifth with a double and scored on
Connor Maryniak's double to get within 7-4.
Giardino and McIlhenney singled with one out in the sixth and
Brock Bollinger walked to load the bases before Vosburg singled through the left side to drive in two runs and get the Cougars within a run.
McIlhenney reached via hit by pitch in the eighth and eventually scored the tying run on Vosburg's sacrifice fly.
McIlhenney led off the 12
th with an infield single and moved up on Bollinger's sacrifice before coming around on Vosburg's single up the middle.
Cioffi struck out the side in the bottom of the 12
th.
