Box Score The Misericordia University baseball team used an 8-run rally in the fourth inning to defeat MIT, 12-5, Wednesday afternoon at Tambur Field.

Jason Sanfilippo had two hits and drove in four runs while Derrick Vosburg had two hits and three RBI.  Brock Bollinger had two hits and two RBI and Brady Madden and Josh Burger both had two hits.

Connor Maryniak struck out five and allowed just four hits over six innings to earn the win.

Down 1-0, the Cougars erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Vosburg led off with a walk and Madden and Maryniak were both hit by pitch to load the bases.  Brendan singled to drive in the tying run and Sanfilippo doubled to left center to clear the bases and give MU a 4-1 lead, but was thrown out trying to advance to third.

Nick Giardino doubled, move up on a wild pitch and scored on Burger's squeeze bunt to make it 5-1.  Garrett McIlhenney reached on an infield single and Bollinger was hit by a pitch.  Vosburg singled to drive in two runs and stole second before coming home on Madden's single up the middle to make it 8-1.

The Cougars tacked on some insurance in the seventh on Sanfilippo's solo homer and a two-run double by Bollinger.
