The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team lost at the University of Scranton, 14-4, Thursday.

Melanie Carbo all scored for the Cougars.

Molly Celesky had a team-high five groundballs and three caused turnovers while Shook and
Emily Nolan added three groundballs each.

Scranton went in front with three goals in a six-minute span late in the first quarter and Torzilli got the Cougars on the board with a man-up goal with 1:47 left in the period.

The Royals scored nine unanswered goals in the second and third periods to build a 12-1 lead.

Shook and Carbo scored to open the fourth quarter and Montanye added a man-up goal with 4:19 to play.

The Cougars will open MAC Freedom play, Saturday at King's.
