Ten different players scored goals as the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team opened its MAC Freedom schedule with a 23-8 win at King's, Saturday.
Michelle Torzilli had seven goals to lead MU and
Kylee Cush had two goals and four assists.
Melanie Carbo had three goals and an assist while
Genevieve Montanye and
Rachel Shook both had two goals and an assist.
Skylar Dowling and
Rebecca Fick scored two goals each and
Emily Baro,
Alicia Pileggi and
Carly Rigby all added goals.
Makenzie Tumini led the Cougars with six draw controls and Shook added five.
Lena Conway made two saves in the first half and
Madelyn Uetz was not challenged in net in the second half.
Torzilli scored four times in the first quarter as the Cougars grabbed an 8-2 lead.
Misericordia scored six straight goals in the second quarter to take a 16-4 lead into halftime.
