A 15-1 win over Swarthmore, Thursday, marked a clean sweep for the Misericordia University baseball team at the Snowbird Classic as the Cougars won all eight contests in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Brady Madden and
Garrett McIlhenney provided three RBI each while
Max Oliver allowed just one run over five innings on the bump.

Joe Comins,
Derrick Vosburg and
Connor Maryniak each collected multiple hits and
Nick Giardino and
Jason Sanfilippo both scored two runs.

Madden's two-run triple to right kick-started a four-run opening frame for MU. Vosburg drove Madden with an RBI single and scored on a Giardino SAC fly.

Madden again got the action started with a sacrifice fly to score Comins in the fifth to make the score, 5-1. The Cougars added another run when Vosburg scored on a Maryniak double down the left field line.

With a runner in scoring position in the bottom of the fifth, Oliver got out of the jam by winning an 11-pitch at-bat battle with a strikeout to end the inning.

Misericordia added four runs in the sixth with McIlhenney, Bollinger and Comins picking up RBI.

The Cougar offense stayed hot with a five-run seventh with RBI coming from McIlhenney,
Mike Murphy and Jarred Hoffman.

The game was called after seven innings.

Misericordia travels back to Pennsylvania for two days rest before its MAC Freedom opener at King's, Sunday at noon.
