The Arcadia University women's basketball team used a big second quarter to down Misericordia University, 63-50, Wednesday night at the Anderson Center.
Leading 16-13 after one period, the Knights opened the second quarter on a 17-2 run to take a 33-15 lead.
Alyssa Bondi led the Cougars with 11 points.
Skylar Dowling drilled a three-pointer from the right corner to give MU a 3-2 lead three minutes into the game and
Skylar Bianchi and
Caitlin Landgraf added back-to-back layups to put MU up 7-2.
Katie Ryan made a jumper in the lane and
Samantha Casey added a putback to keep the Cougars ahead, 11-8, with 2:20 to play in the first quarter.
Arcadia rallied to take a 16-11 lead before
Jocelyn Grosch ended the quarter with a driving layup from the right baseline.
Arcadia connected on four three-pointers early in the second quarter to take a 33-15 lead with 5:58 to play before halftime.
