The Misericordia University women's basketball team scored 30 points in the fourth quarter to pull off a come-from-behind 74-71 Senior Appreciation Day win over Delaware Valley, Saturday afternoon on Doc Mould Court.

Alyssa Bondi led the Cougars with 15 points while Skylar Dowling added 14 points and six assists.  Jocelyn Grosch added 10 points for MU.

The Cougars trailed 54-44 entering the fourth quarter, but opened the period on a three-pointer form Bondi and Becca Franklin sandwiched a pair of buckets around a three-point play from Caitlin Landgraf to get within 59-54 with 7:13 to play.

Three straight layups from Jordan Postiglione, Grosch and Lauren DiMartino pulled the Cougars within 63-62 with 4:45 to go.

Martino got a friendly roll on a driving layup on MU's next possession to give the Cougars their first lead, 64-63, with 3:38 remaining.

DiMartino put the Cougars ahead for good on the next trip the floor with a layup from the right block to make it 66-65 with 2:41 left.

Postiglione drained a jumper from the left baseline and Dowling drained a three-pointer from the left wing to put MU up 71-65 with 1:07 to play.

The Cougars fell behind 21-4 to start the game, but Bondi went coast-to-coast for a layup and drained a three-pointer from the right wing to close the first period on a 5-0 run.

MU cut the deficit to 33-29 on a layup from Skylar Bianchi on a nice bounce pass from Bondi with 2:53 to play in the first half.  But, Del Val scored five straight points to take 38-29 lead at halftime.

The Cougars held a slight 16-15 edge in the third quarter to set the stage for their fourth-quarter rally.
