The Misericordia University men's basketball team improved to 2-0 in the MAC Freedom with an impressive 83-67 win over Stevens, Monday afternoon on Doc Mould Court.
 
Kevin Lazdowsky led four Cougars in double figures with 23 points.  Nick Hornung added 16 points while Nate Kreitzer scored 15 and R.J. Weise had 10.
 
Down one point at halftime, the Cougars fell behind 41-37 early in the second half before rallying to pull away.
 
After Kreitzer's steal and coast-to-coast layup, Hornung hit a three-pointer from the left corner to put MU in front for good, 47-45, with 14:06 to play.
 
A jumper by Hornung and a three-pointer from the left wing extended the lead to 54-47 with 12:26 to go.
 
Weise sandwiched a pair of jumpers around a three-pointer by Smith to make it 64-49 with 7:56 to play.
 
Lazdowsky scored five points down the stretch to get to 999 for his career.
