The Misericordia University women's volleyball team won its sixth straight match with a 3-0 sweep at King's, Tuesday night.
Meghan Peters had 10 kills and two blocks and
Jenna Schuda had 32 assists and seven kills.
Madison Tullo added seven kills and
Jessica Cleveland had 13 digs and two aces.
Keira McCaffrey added a team-high four blocks.
The Cougars won 25-17, 25-22, 25-13 to improve to 19-4 overall and 2-2 in the MAC Freedom.
Peters and Schuda sandwiched kills around McCaffrey's ace to jump out to a 7-2 lead in the opener.Â
Cassandra Genduso had back-to-back aces to stretch the lead to 15-6.
McCaffrey had two kills and
Sarah Journey had an ace as the Cougars broke a 13-13 tie to take a 20-16 lead.
After King's scored three straight points to get within 23-22, the Cougars used an error and a kill by Genduso to close a 25-22 win.
The Cougars led from the outset in the finale as they raced out to a 5-1 lead.
Cleveland had back-to-back aces and
Rachel LoFaso had bookend kills in a 5-0 run to give the Cougars a 15-6 lead.
