Box Score Lily Metress scored a pair of goals and Ava Cirigliano, Abigail O'Donnell and Celeste Hoffman all had a goal and an assist as the Misericordia University field hockey team picked up a 5-1 win at King's, Wednesday afternoon.

Metress opened the scoring when she took a pass from Hoffman along the left end line and tapped it into an empty net at 10:43.

O'Donnell found Hoffman on the left post where she slammed a shot in to give MU a 2-0 lead at 19:40 and the score stood for the remainder of the half.

Metress made it 3-0 when she collected a rebound near the right post and flicked it in at 39:22.

Cirigliano took an insert from Madison Blauch on the left flank and blasted a shot inside the left post for a 4-0 lead with just over a minute remaining in the third quarter.

After King's got on the board midway through the fourth period, MU answered with just under four minutes to play.

Cirigliano ran down a long pass on the left end line and centered a pass to O'Donnell who deflected it inside the left post to give MU a 5-1 lead at 55:54.

Sarah Bogina made five saves in goal.
