Eli Stoute scored a game-high 19 points as the Misericordia University men's basketball team cruised to an 89-58 win over Centenary, Monday night on Doc Mould Court.

Kevin Lazdowsky had 17 points and seven rebounds and R.J. Weise added 11 points and six rebounds.

The teams exchanged the lead twice in the opening minutes before Matt Prociak's layup gave the Cougars the lead for good, 6-4, less than five minutes into the game.

Will Anozie drained a three-pointer from the right wing to give MU a 13-4 lead with 12:24 to go in the first half and the Cougars never looked back.

Misericordia shot 44.4% from three-point range for the game, including 9-16 in the second half.

Following a Lazdowsky layup, Weise converted a steal in the three-point play to give MU with less than a minute to play and Concepcion had a steal and a layup in the closing seconds to give the Cougars a 36-25 lead at halftime.

Lazdowsky found his stroke in the second half and drained back-to-back three-pointers to stretch MU's lead to 50-29 less than five minutes into the second half.

Stoute nailed a three-pointer and flushed an alley-oop pass from Lazdowsky to put MU up 66-42 with 9:08 to play.

Lazdowsky and Arvel Chandler hit three-pointers to give the Cougars their biggest lead of the night, 77-46, with 6:03 to go.
