Susquehanna used a big second-quarter run to open up a double digit lead on the way to a 72-46 win over the Misericordia University women's basketball team, Tuesday evening in Selinsgrove.
 
Emily Romanowski had six points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead the Cougars.
 
Ava Cirigliano added five points and five rebounds and Caitlin Sweeney had seven points in just 12 minutes.
 
Jocelyn Grosch and Cirigliano hit back-to-back three-pointers to give the Cougars an 8-2 lead less than four minutes into the game.
 
Alina Torchia converted a steal into a fastbreak jumper and Chloe Captoni hit a three-pointer to put MU up 13-7 with 3:01 left in the first quarter.
 
The Crusaders closed the period on a 13-2 run to take a 20-15 lead.
 
Susquehanna used an 8-0 run in the middle of the second quarter to take a 31-19 lead and took a 38-25 lead into halftime.
