The Misericordia University women's basketball team dropped a 55-36 non-conference decision at Dickinson, Saturday.
 
Ava Cirigliano had 11 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Cougars.
 
The Cougars fell behind 12-2 after one period, but rallied to get within three points late in the first half.
 
Down 17-9 late in the second quarter, Cirigliano made a layup and a jumper and assisted on Jordan Carmosino's fastbreak bucket to cut the deficit to 19-15 with 2:25 to play.
 
Cirigliano's putback made it 20-17 with just over a minute to play, but the Red Devils answered with a three-pointer to take a 23-17 halftime lead.
 
Dickinson re-opened a double digit lead early in the third quarter and the Cougars never got closer than eight points the rest of the way.
