The Susquehanna University women's lacrosse team used a 5-0 second-half to defeat Misericordia, 16-10, Friday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
After closing the first half on a 3-0 run, the River Hawks opened the second half on a 6-1 run, including five straight, to take 16-8 win.
Rachel Shook led the Cougars with five goals and eight assists and
Michelle Torzilli had two goals and eight draw controls.
Shook had four goals in the first period and the teams were tied after one period.
The teams traded goals throughout much of the second period with Susquehanna eventually scored three straight goals to take a 10-7 halftime lead.
