The Misericordia University men's basketball team fell to Stevens Institute of Technology, 87-75, Saturday.
Kevin Lazdowsky led MU with 30 points, including 6-7 from three-point range.
Derek Smith had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds and
Nick Hornung added 11 points.
After falling behind early, 7-0, the Cougars answered with a 12-5 run to tie the game. Lazdowsky scored five straight points and
Nate Kreitzer hit a three-pointer to get within 9-7. Smith's layup eventually tied the score, 12-12.
The Cougars tied the score four times during the first half, but trailed 44-38 heading to halftime.
Lazdowsky made a layup 12 seconds into the second half to get the Cougars within 44-40, but the Ducks responded with nine straight points to improve their lead.
After Joe Baldachino scored a layup with 17:51 to go, the Ducks consistently held a doubt digit lead the rest of the game.
