The York College baseball team used a pair of two-out rallies to score six runs over the last two innings to defeat Misericordia, 9-8, Tuesday afternoon in York.

The Cougars built an 8-2 lead through four innings, but the Spartans loaded the bases with two outs in the bottom of the eighth and got a grand slam to pull within a run, 8-7.

MU retired the first two Spartans batters in the ninth, but York got three straights to secure the 9-8 walk-off win.

Joe Comins led the Cougars with a double and a triple and three RBI.Â
Jack Regenye and
Gabe Bunn had two hits each and
Brooks Kanwisher and
Owen Cordner both drove in two runs.

Kanwisher gave MU a 2-0 lead in the top of the second with a single through the left side.

Comins had a two-run triple in the third and Cordner capped the five-run innings with a two single through the left side.

Comins added an RBI-double in the top of the fourth to make it 8-2.

Bryan Henry scattered five hits over six innings, but didn't factor in the decision.
