The Cougars took the opener, 9-6, and won the nightcap, 4-3.

In game one, the Cougars made the most of their six hits as
Nikki Elliott hit a two-run double and
Emily Susanj added a bases-loaded double as part of a six-run third inning.

Marisa Kelly scattered six hits over six innings to get the win.

Kaitlin Redling singled in a run in the fourth and
Gianna Russo added an RBI-ground out in the sixth. The Cougars pulled off a double steal to stretch their lead to 9-2 in the top of the seventh.

In the nightcap, Redling had two hits and Susanj had a two-run double.

Jennifer Milisits scattered eight hits to earn the win.

The Cougars took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth and added two insurance runs in the seventh.

Redling led off the fourth inning with a single and
Gianna Foreman and
Mackenzie Fizer walked to load the bases. Two outs later, pinch-hitter
Casey Funesti reached on an error to give the Cougars the lead and
Bridget Doherty made it 2-0 with a bases-loaded walk.

MU added two much-needed insurance runs in the seventh on a two-out double by Susanj.
