The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team fell to undefeated Juniata, 18-12, Saturday at Mangelsdorf Field.

Genevieve Montanye had five goals and two assists and
Michelle Torzilli added four goals and one assist.

Rachel Shook added two goals and an assist and notched her 100
th career point. Shook added a team-high five assists.

Shook tallied her 100
th career point on a free position goal to tie the score, 2-2, midway through the first quarter. The Eagles answered with three straight goals to take a 5-2 lead after one period.

Melanie Carbo found Torzilli in stride near the left post to open the second quarter and
Delaney Campanella drove from the top of the circle less than a minute later. Montanye forced a turnover behind the net and stuffed a shot inside the right post to pull the Cougars even, 5-5.

Down 10-7 early in the third period, Montanye forced another turnover and converted it into another goal with 10:18 to go.

Torzilli converted a free-position shot and Shook bounced a shot inside the right post to get the Cougars within 12-10 midway through the third quarter, but Juniata scored six of the next seven goals.
