The Widener women's lacrosse team scored nine straight goals to pull away from Misericordia University in a 17-6 win, Saturday in Chester.
 
The Cougars were down 3-2 in the first period after goals by Michelle Torzilli and Rachel Shook before the Pride built a 12-2 lead late in the third period.
 
Torzilli had two goals and an assist and Genevieve Montanye scored twice.  Delaney Campanella added a goal and an assist.
 
Molly Celesky had a team-high six draw controls.
 
Montanye scored twice in the final two minutes of the third quarter and Campanella and Torzilli scored a minute apart early in the fourth.
