Connor Maryniak hit and pitched the Misericordia University baseball team to a 7-4 win over FDU-Florham as the Cougars completed a series sweep, Sunday at Tambur Field.
 
Maryniak struck out nine over seven scoreless innings and hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning.
 
Gabe Bunn had two hits and two RBI.
 
The Cougars took a 1-0 lead on Bunn's single in the second.
 
Maryniak homered in the fifth and Bunn added an RBI-single later in the inning to give MU a 4-0 lead.
 
Jason Sanfilippo's sacrifice fly in the sixth made it 5-0 and Brooks Kanwisher followed with an RBI-single to stretch the lead to 6-0
 
Jared Hoffman doubled in a run in the eighth to make it 7-0.
