The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team used a big second half to defeat King's, 21-9, Saturday.
Connor Bevan led the Cougars with eight points on four goals and four assists, including his 100
th career goal.Â
Jared Pelliccione added seven goals and
Brendan Stanley and
Jason Giambrone both had a goal and two assists.
Trey Stasse had three ground balls and five caused turnovers and
Chris Dindino made 18 saves in goal.
Bevan gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead with his 100
th career goal less than minutes into the game.
The Cougars scored four goals in the final 6:48 of the first quarter to take the lead for good, 5-2.
MU scored three times at the end of the second quarter to take an 8-4 lead into halftime and opened the second half with four straight goals for a 12-4 lead.
Pelliccione scored three straight goals as part of a 5-0 run to give MU a 17-5 lead early in the fourth period.
