The Misericordia University baseball team will open the postseason when the Cougars host DeSales in the first game of three-game MAC Freedom Semifinal series, Friday at 3:30 at Tambur Field.

Game two is set for Saturday at 12:00 with the 'if necessary' game to follow.

Misericordia, 29-9, is seeded first after finishing of 19-2 in conference. The fourth-seeded Bulldogs are 18-21 overall and 10-11 in conference play.
Daily admission is $8 for adults and $6 for seniors (65+) and students (7-17). MAC students with ID and children under six are free.Â

The Cougars swept the Bulldogs two weeks ago and had a +31-run differential that series.

Second-seeded Arcadia will host Stevens in the other semifinal series. The winners will advance to the championship series, May 10-11.

Misericordia is tied with DeSales for second in the league in batting at .326 and leads the league with a .970 fielding percentage. The Cougars are second in the league with 101 hit by pitches and 105 stolen bases behind Arcadia in both stats.

Garrett McIlhenney leads the league in runs scored with 52, on base percentage at .577 and walks with 32. He is also top-5 in the league in average at .414 hits with 53 and hit by pitches with 20.

Connor Maryniak is tied for first in the league with 11 homeruns and second in RBI's totaling 56.

MU is second in the league with a 3.95 team earned run average and is second with .263 batting average against.
Joe Valenti is second in the league with a 1.86 ERA.

DeSales is third in team batting at .326 and doubles (84). The Bulldogs are fifth in team ERA at 7.01.

th on-base % (.500)) while Zach Zuchowski is 6
