Misericordia University head baseball coach Pete Egbert has been named the D3baseball.com National Coach of the Year.

Egbert led the Cougars to the first national championship in school history.

The Cougars finished 44-11 while setting a school record for wins in a season.

MU won its 11^th MAC Freedom championship and captured NCAA Regional and NCAA Super Regional titles.

Egbert is 509-243-2 in 17 seasons at Misericordia and owns a career record of 600-330-2 in 22 seasons as a head coach.
